Bio

The man

I started my career in Boston working for a small industrial ad agency, and then, later I became a principal of LS&S Advertising. Between then and now I have been a much sought-after free-agent creative fixer, an art director, a copywriter, and a VP Creative Director at Mintz + Hoke Advertising in Avon, CT.

At Mintz + Hoke, I was a creative catalyst and vital contributor to strategy on a range of accounts: GE Capital, OTIS Elevator, Pratt & Whitney, Connecticut DOT, CTfastrak, The Hartford Line Rail service, MyPlaceCT.org, Fidelco Guide Dogs, The Connecticut Forum, Hartford Steam Boiler, Medtronic, Deloitte, Leonardo DRS, Antares Capital, Connecticut Public, Aetna, The Hartford Yard Goats, and dozens of other brands.

In 2019, I no longer had college tuition checks to write, so I moved back to the island full time and founded a nimble creative studio Called SAND. An acronym.  It stands for Strategy, Art, Narrative, Design. I execute all four of those disciplines in equal measure. In 2022 I was named a Socially Responsible Designer to Watch by Graphic Design USA. Current clients include, Nantucket Land and Water Council, HSB/Munich RE (insurance and reinsurance), The National Space Society, Nantucket Community Music Center, Above Space, The Nantucket Shellfish Association, Wheel of Delight, ACK Smart Solar, The Connecticut Forum, ESPN/The Undefeated, Dreamland Foundation, White Heron Theatre Company, ACK•Now.
